About
The Texas Journal of Business Law is dedicated to providing Texas attorneys and academics with comprehensive, up-to-date coverage of the ever-changing and rapidly expanding field of business law. Currently, the Journal has about 4,000 subscribers, making it one of the most widely circulated student-edited publications in Texas, as well as one of the largest business law journals in the nation.
The Texas Journal of Business Law is advised by the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and by fulltime faculty members at South Texas College of Law. It is edited and published with assistance of the Journal?s Student Editorial Board at South Texas College of Law. Professor W. David East is the Editor.
The Texas Journal of Business Law is the official publication of the Business Law Section of the State Bar. The Journal is published three times per year (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Until 1994, the journal was published under the title "The Bulletin." Editing and publishing functions were transferred to South Texas College of Law in 2005. By allowing students the opportunity to work directly on business law issues in a journalism setting, the Business Law Section hoped to increase the knowledge of law students regarding these issues. As the official publisher, the Business Law Section of the State Bar has ultimate authority as to the content of the Journal. The content exclusively expresses the opinion of the editors and contributors.
