Commercial Financial Services

The Commercial Financial Services Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Texas monitors developments and issues relating to commercial finance issues for lenders in Texas. Such issues include Texas usury laws, choice of law matters, opinions of counsel, and secured transactions. The committee has been active in reviewing and commenting on legislation in Texas including amendments to the Texas Credit Title and Texas Finance Code in the 1997 and 1999 legislative sessions and more recent changes in the 2005 session.
